NSS-326 Drive Information request failure

I have RAID6 of 6 disks. I've replaced one disk in RAID 6, rebuild was ok, but HDD SMART section of the administration fails with "Drive Information request failure". Raw SMART data are ok, but "Summary", Disk information" and "Test" tabs are empty. This fails only with the new disk, other 5 disks's status is working.

RAID6 status looks fine: ready.

New disk is different model, because original is not available any more, but with the same capacity and similar parameters.

Probably temperature monitoring and disk tests does not work for the new disk.

Any idea? Thank you.

Greetings.

The NSS-326 is based on hardware from QNAP's model TS-659 Pro+

You may want to take a look at https://www.qnap.com/en-us/compatibility/?model=58&category=1 and see what drive listing or notes are listed there.

I would normally point you exclusively to Cisco's drive HCL for this product, but unfortunately this product it is end of life, end of support, and software/docs won't be updated.

Thanks,

Kirk...

Hello Kirk,

thank you for reply, but disks listed on compatibility list (cisco or qnap) are no longer available (at least in my country).

Some other solution would be nice, replacing working EoS NAS because of one failing disk is very unfortunate solution.
