Hi,

I am stuck with a confusion; I have UCS chassis with 6 blades in my DC connected with EMC storage. Now I want to integrate IBM storage with same UCS blades and chassis. Question is. Do i need separate vHBAs for both storages and single/common vHBA can be used for presenting LUNs from both storage?

Appreciate early respnse!

Regards,

Hi Saeed,

As long as they are in the same vsan and both zoned you can use the same hba in theory.  The only issue could be that the different storage vendors could have different best practices for hba parameters or os multipathing setup.
