I have a MDS 9140 that I can't access with Fabric Manager or Device Manager with SNMP v3. I could get in with this method last week. I can telnet in and use SNMP v2 using the community strings. When I try to use Device Manager I get a message saying busy network, no route, or snmpd is unresponsive. Is there any way to restart the snmpd process?

You cannot restart the snmpd manually, you will have to reboot the box.

If you are not running with a NTP server, you can reset the clock to some other time and then set it back. So, if there is not a NTP server configured, do a: show clock, then clock set 00:00:00 1 jan 2005, and then another clock set to restore the current time
