SNMP TRAPS

Hi

I want to config snmp traps from my new mds9513 to SCOM

i configured the destination in Device Manager , and when i try to test it , we pool out one FC Port and got the Link Down Message

And when i Try to reset one Module i want to get an snmp trap and call home mail , but it's not working.

1. how do i have to setup this environment?

2. how can i get TRAP with Port Description insted of Link Failure %port....

Hello Ronen,

Are you resetting the module gracefully (ie using CLI to reset) ?

Call home will not be generated in case you reload the module using CLI. Instead try re-seating the module physically.

Thanks for answering my question , when i  took  the module  out physically

it sent the trap/callhome .

how can i get callhome message with port discription insted of %port....when link goes up/down ?
