Hi
I have some questions about SAN fabrics with MDS
I will appreciate any help
1) two MDS switches on different locations connected with fcip. Someome creating a zone on one switch and activating it, and it became visible on the second switch. Does this fabric ok? This is a valid implementation?
2) design the best fabric with this hardware:
4x 16 ports MDS
1 double head storage machine with 2 ports on each head
16 servers with 2 port hba's each
I will appreciate any help

FCIP looks to Fibre Channel as another ISL link <trunk> Port, so same rules apply.
Once the FCIP link is connected, the two switches become part of the same SAN Fabric.
This is a valid implementation.

For the zones, because the two switches are part of the same fabric and the zones are merged.
Same fabric means same zones, etc. The zones/zoneset, after activation are "pushed" to the switches in the same fabric.
