We are moving to a core-edge design from a mirrored fabric.
Taking 2 slots out of 9509 which hold clariion fe's and symm fa's and putting them in the new 9513(core)
Switches will be isl together, fabrics merged.
We are using wwpn zoning. 3.02a fw
My question is how will the 9513 get the config for the 2 new blades?
Any tips, pointers?

I have to ask why ?
You are currently running a fully redundant design, and moving to a single fabric, and creating a potential bottle neck being the ISL with hosts on one switch, and Disk on the other switch.
I do not understand why you would want to do this?

We are not moving to a single fabric.
HostX HBA 1-----9509----9513------Storage
HostX HBA 2-----9509----9513------Storage
We will still have 2 fabrics.

G'day,
By moving line cards from chassis to chassis will not magically move configs around.
Zoning info will be fine because you are zoning via wwpn.
You will however, need to ensure each port is placed into the correct VSAN (unless you are using dynamic VSAN's which will mean there is nothing really to do)
From a best practice point of view, you will still need to label ports etc.
Cheers
Andrew
