To remove zones from MDS 9500 series switch

We are planning to decomission few of our unsupported storage arrays from environment.

Hence we need to remove few zones from mds switch.

I would like to ask that if i run no zone command

e.g

SW1(config)# no zone <zone names>

would this be good to remove the zone

or else i need :

1. remove zone from zoneset

'2. Avtivate zoneset

3. Remove zones

4. remove fcalias.

What would be the best practise

Please share your views

Hello vishwa,

Just remove the zone and re-activate the zoneset to identify that's zone was changed.
