Trunk not fully active after merge

Hi,

I merged a new switch into my fabric earlier today, before carrying out the merge I created a dummy alias and zone and added it to a Zoneset on the switch with the same settings as what I have on the live environment. I carried out a merge analysis and it gav me the thumbs up to go ahead.

The merge seemed to work fine, however, there is an orange arrow on the link between the new and existing switch, when I hover over it I get the message that the trunk is not fully active.

On the live environment we have VSAN2 and 3, but 3 isn't required on the new switch, so in the trunk config on the ports connecting the two switches I have only allowed VSAN 1 & 2... not 100% if this is anything to do with it.

Anyone seen this issue before?

Many Thanks

Hi,

What does the trunk config look like on the interface attached to ext 15?

Regards,

David

Hi David,

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm literally after disabling and re-enabling the port and everything is looking how it should. Weird - I'm sure i did that earlier - maybe I just didn't give it enough time.

Regards,

Ciarán
