Hello
We have MDS 9124 switches at a remote site, and we are seeing some bandwidth throttling and a little extra latency due to buffer credit exhaustion. They have only 16 credits RX at the R2 side of an SRDF/S link to our DR site. The 9153's on the production side have 250 credits, which is ample. Ideally, I'd like to have around 70-80 bb_credits on the receive side. Can this be accomplished by adding an Enterprise license pkg and enabling extended bb credits?
I understand that Extended BB_credits are not supported on the Cisco MDS 9124 Fabric Switch. Do we have any alternative to increase the BB_credits. Will the following hold good on long haul links.
switch# config t
switch(config)# interface fc2/1-2, fc2/4-5, fc2/8-38, fc2/43-48
switch(config-if)# shutdown
switch(config-if)# out-of-service
switch# config t
switch(config)# interface fcx/y
switch(config)#switchport fcrxbbcredit 250 mode E
Please advise
Thanks

MDS 9124 has 64 BB_Credit per 4-port group. You can assign up to 61 BB_Credit to single port if you disable other 3 ports in the port group
