Hello when I bootup my 2620xm I see this error over and over. I cannot put any commands in.

*Mar  1 00:26:46.963: %SYS-4-CONFIG_RESOLVE_FAILURE: System config parse from (tftp://255.255.255.255/help.cfg) failed

%Error opening tftp://255.255.255.255/help-confg (Timed out)

It does this forever... it never stops. Over and over again in my console.

Does my system have a bad IOS or bad ram?

Thanks

Mark

Hello Marc,

From the error message i got below details. As suggested below can you go ahead with "no service config "

%SYS-4-CONFIG_RESOLVE_FAILURE: System config parse from ([chars]) failed

The configuration file from the URL specified in the error message could not be read.

Recommended Action: Enter the no service config command to disable autoloading of configuration files OR investigate why the TFTP load is failing.

Hope this helps

Regards

Mahesh

Before I could get started it tried to reboot on its own somehow, and then it started spitting out the config resolve errors. I think something is corrupt.

Reload IOS? Bad ram?

Hello Marc,

If youter is not allowing to do anything there the only way I can see is changing IOS. Make sure

do not go for latest IOS. Choose IOS which is 2-3 version back to latest one.
