I found some GLC-T's on CDW's website for lot less.  How big of a deal it is if I don't use the Cisco GLC-T's which are double in price?  Any experiences with the compatible GLC-T's?

Usually, if you get it from CDW, they should work since it is well known company and has partnership with Cisco.

Using a none Cisco optic is a hit or miss. I have used Transition Networks optics with Cisco devices and they do usually work fine, but then again you never know until you try it.
