Can't view boot sequence on NM-NAM

Hi,

Trying to reset the root password on an NM-NAM in 15.1. I have the instrcutions, however when I do a reload I can never get and console outout so I can type in "***". The session doesn't repsond until the NM-NAM has reloaded, i.e. I can never see the boot sequence.

Ok - so for some reason when I open a session with the NM-NAM, I actually end up telneting to the router itself, not the NM-NAM - I'm confused now...

You may have a general router login authentication rule for all lines (including reverse telnet to NAM). After entering username and password, are you already connected to NAM console?

Post your aaa and line config and the output you get after authenticating.

Peter - thanks for your response - yes, that was the problem. I didn't follow the instructions to turn off aaa for line 66.
