Cisco RV325 Router won't accept underscore in dns names

I have a Cisco RV325 Router. I was trying to add hosts to my local DNS Records and I got this error message: The Host Name only can use english characters, numbers, and "-" I have a server which is named App_Server, so imagine my frustration with this particular error message. Who on earth thought that excluding the underscore in Host naming was a good idea? As it stands now, I can't add that server to the record and I'm not very happy with this. I have half a mind to send it back because I'm not changing my server name and all my workstation pointers just because a router doesn't accept an underscore. There's no earthly reason in this day and age to be this limited. Fix this.

HI
Even though its part of RFC2872 , Cisco does not support underscore in DNS they stopped while back from what i have read not sure why exactly

If you want to change that you would need to open a feature request , this is just a forum for users with issues so a feature request to have it fixed or changed wont be picked up from here

Cisco NX-OS does not support underscore in a DNSname.
Hence do not use underscore in a DNS name
