 - @locogg8472            Check logs on the device when that happens

Hello @locogg8472,

this typically means that the connection speed is under 1000 Mbps or nothing is connected to the port.

You can verify this with the command "show interfaces status":

  • the Status column with indicate 'connected' or 'not connected' if the cable is loose or faulty or the connected device has a problem
  • the Duplex column should indicate 'a-full' if full duplex mode got negotiated. Half duplex indicates negotiation problems.
  • the Speed column should indicate 'a-1000' if gigabit speed got negotiated. Lower speeds might indicate negotiation problems or the other side might support 100 Mb only.

Of course, you can also use the WebGUI if you prefer. Interface status and speed can be checked under the "Port Management" or "Interface" sections.

if the switch has been operational for a long time,
then simply some dust can have been collected in the LED opening and dim the light
-> use a can of compressed air, see if that helps
