Client Switch Behaviour

As per CCNA CISCO book, when a switch is first installed in an existing network as a Client, it will send a VTP Advertisement if it find it's Revision No. to be higher than the one it's recieving from the Servers. This will cause the Servers to overwrite their vlan database with the one they recieve from the new Client with a higher Revision No.

My question is that will the Client only send VTP Advertisement once when it is just connected to the network or will it also send Advertisements later on?

Once it is connected and its Revision level matches the server it should never be able to get a higher rev level because you cannot make VTP changes on a VTP Client, changes can only be made on Server and transparent.

The most important thing is when adding a new or old switch to your VTP domain...make sure the revision level is 0. That will ensure you do not have any issues.
