compatibility of third-party transceiver on the 4500X switch with IOS

Recently,we upgrade our 4500X(VSS) switches from 03.06.06.E to 03.11.10.E which Cisco TAC suggested. But, some of the ports cannot recognize the transceiver even though we typed the command "service unsupported-transceiver" ,up-down the ports and change the transceiver. What's strange is that some ports with the same transceiver model work fine after upgrade. At last, we downgrade the IOS to the original version(03.06.06.E), everything has returned to normal. Does anyone know the reason for this?

  - You won't be able to determine a reason for this as the foreign SFP behavior must be accepted  'as is' even with the workaround command (service unsupported-transceiver) being used.
For the working ports , you could for instance look at : https://www.optcore.net/show-interface-transceiver-details/?srsltid=AfmBOorEXvikTBKYE8k2GMSHFpPfR31BI2LGFLSwaMOLxttCTM4PBD5l#h-show-transceiver-details-on-cisco-switches
doubt it will bring further insights ,
