I accidentally deleted the whole flash in this command instead of adding an image name at the end.
delete /force /recursive flash:/
I’m now able to boot from usb but copying the image to the flash: is not working.
- is there anyway I can recover the flash that was deleted?
- if not, how can I copy to the flash from usb?

Download the TAR file into the USB flash and use the following command to put the IOS back into the switch: archive download-sw usbflash0:filename.tar

What IOS did you boot the switch back up into?

If the BIN file is in the USB flash, then use the ROMMON command: boot usbflash0:IOS_filename.bin

Copy .bin to flash should work. Did you update/check bootvar?
That aside, what @Leo Laohoo suggests should set everything correctly for booting.
