dsl ip dhcp connections

Hi all, when I get an ip address from my isp on my wan interface, how is this done by the isp end ?

you can use DHCP for PPP, but only for dynamic IP address assignment.You CAN'T use DHCP to statically assign an IP address to a PPP user (PPP) does not use the MAC address of the client)
