Hi I am getting the following messages on some devices. What is the cause? What can I do? Is that normal? What can I do to fix it?
1.-SYSCONFIG TRAP RECEIVED
2.-A MAJOR SYSLOG EVENT HAS OCCURRED

Thanks

Hello Leonardo,
which device are you getting these messages for (e.g. Cisco 2950 switch)? Do you have storm control configured for one of the ports on the device for which these messages are generated (check for the line ´storm-control broadcast level x) ?

GP

Hi Leonardo,
Cisco's error message decoder can assist you.
