Etherchannel

guys if we have four switches connected with each other 1 with 2 , 2 withh 3 , 3 with 4 and 4 with 1.....all are connected with multiple ports (two ports) now if we want to make the link trunk and make an etherchannel how will we do that....my understanding is that when two ports are connected parellel to other swicth one port will be automatically blocked by STP??? will it go to shut mode.....now how will we do this practice any ideas....thanks

Without Etherchannel configuration, STP would disable one link by default.

With Etherchannel, the two links will be treated as a single link, even for STP.

With 4 switches linked in a ring, STP would now disable one link [i.e. 2 ports] or one Etherchannel.
