If there is any ios command to check a device wether it is router or switch

Hello Dear,

                I am new to cisco environmnet and I have a congested network of cisco routers and switches already configured different names, there are so many points I can verify like check the "show interface" and if it is having more interaces ie fast ethernet 24 like this then its switch but some time I am in hurry so I need to verify quickly, that's why I need ios direct command to check the device (either a router or switch). please if you can give me ios command with some details

Thanks to reply but I think you did not understand my question actually I asked to check the device which I am login whether it is a router or switch and you give me information about neighboring devices, I am sorry to say but I am not concerned with neighboring devices, I want to check the same device which I am login, I hope you get it well and I also hope to listen from you soon !
