Hi everyone,
I am setting up my network to now have vlans.
Here is my equipment,
Netgear router
2 x SG200-26
Currently I have a Netgear router and configured two vlans on port 1 of the firewall
VLAN 1 (staff vlan) 192.168.1.x
VLAN100 (public vlan for guests)192.168.10.x
Out of port 1 on the firewall will connect to port 1 on the SG200-26
I know how to create VLAN100 on the switch.
I know I need port 1 to be a trunk port.
But when I assign VLAN100 to the trunk port, does it need to be tagged or untagged?
Also out of port 24 on the sg200 ill be hooking it up to the other sg200 on port 24, and I know those have to be trunks as well. But does the VLAN100 need to be tagged or untagged?
Thank you for your help!
