Hi everybody

I am trying to build my voice lab

    ----rest of network---R1---internet--Publc NTP server ( 4.4.4.4)

What stratum Wii R1 be?

=========================

Below is my lab set up:

CUCM-------Switch-------Router

I want to use my Router's system clock as authorities time source.

I have these issues:

1)  First I need to adjust my router's system clock.

2) Second I want my router as ntp server using its System clock as time source.

3) I want my CUCM to get its timing from Router

thanks and have a great day.

The stratum of R1 will be 1 greater than the stratum of 4.4.4.4

As far as your issues:

1) if you configure R1 with ntp server 4.4.4.4 then R1 should learn authoritative time and will adjust its system clock to reflect correct UTC.

2) once your router has learned authoritative time then it will automatically function as an ntp time server for other devices within your network.

3) configure your CUCM to use R1 as its ntp server.

It should all work fine.
