SG500 VLAN Configuration

Hello,

Our company has recently acquired a SG500-28 28 Port Gigabit POE managed switch.

There are currently 2 companies in the same building using the same internet connection and we want to split the connection so each company is on their own network.

- The Cisco switch is for company A, company B has their own netgear smart switch that does DHCP for them which I am to assign their own WAN address on it.

- I need to split the switch ports in to two VLANs. 1 VLAN will have the COX modem connected to it using 1 WAN IP for company A and the netgear connected from company B because they want to use their own WAN ip.

- VLAN 2 (ports 4-22) will be used for company A internal network with access to the internet from the COX modem.

- It my first time attempting this type of setup.

So far I created 2 VLANS and tagged the ports to the corresponding VLANS

VLAN ID: 2  Ports 4-22

VLAND ID:3 Ports 23-28

Any help would be appreciated, if you are in the orange county area I would buy you a beer, 2, 3.

They can't be on the same network, otherwise B wouldn't need an independent DHCP server.

What you would need to do is NAT B to a different public IP. I imagine both networks perhaps connect to a Router at the moment.

You would want the ports to be 'Access' ports, i.e. untagged, but like I say, this is not the solution.
