VLAN receives DHCP but has no internet access

Hi All,

I am very new to creating vlans and have ran into an issue where my vlan will recive a dhcp address but is not able to ping the router or access the internet. My end goal is to have 3 vlans:

vlan1=normal lan network 10.1.9.1

vlan2=seucrity system 10.1.10.1

vlan3=dev network 10.1.11.1

I'm assuming through vlans I can have all three of those ethernet lines come from my router and plug into the swtich in the various vlan ports.

These subnets are currently configured on my pfsense router each with a seperate port. I am using a SG200-50P switch to create the vlans and and the screen shots below are what I have so far testing on three ports.

I have researched several forums and topics but can't seem to find the correct settings I need. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure you put a gateway address for each of the VLAN in your pfsense and that it permits icmp so your pings can get through and come back.

Establish connectivity to that gateway address before trying anything else. Its your door to exit the VLAN and communicate with other networks.

If you can't ping the default gateway then the default gateway is configured incorrectly.

Thank you!

This got me on the right track to find out that I never selected a protocol in my firewall rule. Everything is working as expected now.
