Hello all,

I have a 4510R-E with two Sup6-E x2 10gb and my question is: Can I reach 40gb of connection (forwarding traffic) between 4510R-E and NX5K?

Nope.  Only 24 Gbps per slot.

Hello Leo,

Yes, there are 24gb per slot, but my doubt is if I connect both sup6-e x2 10gb in a NX5K totalizing 40gb.

Hi,

Assuming you put 5/1, 5/1, 6/1 and 6/2 in one Portchannel. A flow is only going to use one link at a time (10Gig). So, it is 4x10 but you can't call it a 40Gig interface..

Hello Reza,

Yes, it is a Port Channel. All the interface in Po10, for example. You said that I can´t reach 40Gb in this Po10... Is it right? and How much can I reach in this Po10?

Thanks

Hi,

A flow can only use one of the 10Gig interfaces at a time. If for example, you are transferring a 100Gig file from one device to another, that flow uses only one of the 10Gig interfaces.  But say you have 4 flows from 4 different sources, one flow uses interface 5/1, second flow 5/2, third flow 6/1 and so on.  So, its 4 10Gigs.
