I am new to this community and eager to deepen my understanding of how Cisco ThousandEyes integrates with various enterprise network solutions, particularly Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, and third-party products such as FortiGate firewalls.

From my research, I understand that ThousandEyes has native compatibility with Cisco platforms, including Catalyst and Nexus devices, enabling end-to-end network visibility, performance monitoring, and application path analysis. Its integration with Cisco SD-WAN enhances traffic monitoring across distributed networks, while its support for Cisco ACI allows visibility into data center fabrics, ensuring optimized connectivity and application performance.

However, I am particularly interested in understanding how ThousandEyes performs on non-Cisco platforms. While it supports standard network telemetry, NetFlow analysis, and deep packet inspection, I would love to hear insights from the community regarding its effectiveness in monitoring FortiGate firewalls, other SD-WAN solutions, or hybrid cloud environments.

Does anyone have experience deploying ThousandEyes in a multi-vendor ecosystem? How well does it integrate, and what are the key considerations for ensuring optimal performance outside the Cisco-native environment?

1. ThousandEyes enables visibility into FortiGate firewall performance by leveraging network device monitoring capabilities by Enterprise Agents (documentation link).

2. Cloud Managed Network Security & SD‑WAN. For organizations using Cisco Meraki solutions, ThousandEyes Enterprise Agents can be deployed to monitor Meraki devices, offering end-to-end visibility across cloud-managed networks (documentation link).

3. For cloud environments. ThousandEyes integrates with AWS to provide Cloud Insights that help monitor service availability, connectivity, and performance from a global or regional perspective (documentation link).
