16.12 トレインへのアップグレードに伴う Secret パスワード Type 自動変更について

Catalyst 3650/3850 、 Catalyst 9000 において、16.12 トレイン以前のソフトウェアバージョンから 16.12 トレインへのアップグレード後、パスワードの安全性を向上するため Enable と Username のデフォルト Secret パスワード Type が 5 から 9 に自動変換されるようになります。

・16.12トレイン以前のデフォルト Secret パスワード Type は 5 です。

・16.12以前のトレインから 16.12 トレインへアップグレードを実施した後、以下ログの記録と伴い、デフォルト Secret パスワード Type が 5 から Type 9 に自動変換されます。

WARNING: Command has been added to the configuration using a type 5 password. However, type 5 passwords which are considered weak are now deprecated.

WARNING: Auto-converting the entered Type 5 password to Type 9

・16.12 以前のトレインでは Secret パスワード Type 9 をサポートしていないバージョンも存在します。16.12 トレインから 16.12 以前のトレインへソフトウェアをダウングレードする場合、Secret パスワード関連の設定をいったん削除してから、ソフトウェアのダウングレードを行い、完了後 Secret パスワードの設定を投入してください。
