Can I create UCSD Catalog items with API calls

Anyone looked into this yet?

I have 10 workflow updates that I need to push to 7 * UCSD appliances & create 10 new Catalog items.

Has anyone worked on an API call that can be used to create the catalog items instead of using the GUI?

This wold speed up future deployments/service updates, etc. to the UCSD when we need to create/update catalog items.
