Hi,
I'm trying to build a workflow to provision VM on vmware. In my workflow i have only two Activities, 1:vm provisioning inputs & 2,vm provisioning engine. I have mapped workflow inputs to vm provisioning inputs & there is no inputs in vm provisioning engine, so i assume provisioning engine activity will automatically gets inputs from vm provisioning inputs activity. However, it fails with Datacenter null error. Can someone help?
Thanks

Is your VDC set up and has no errors? Does a standard catalog deploy?

Hi, I'm able to deploy VM from Standard Catalog. But from Workflow it throws Datacenter null error. Not sure, if I'm missing something.. Can you share what are the inputs must be mapped in VM Provisioning Inputs activity to deploy VM?. If possible can you please share the steps?

Take a look at this workflow
UCSD Workflow INDEX (UCSD Technical Content Index)
#216 or #437 Much easier.
Or use this out of the box example and compare what is different to yours.

Yes, i started building by seeing that workflow & now I'm able to spin up the VM, however, not able to assign IP & Password. I'm using 'Guest Setup' activity to set new Password, getting error "Error occured during guest password reset: Command failed with errors , vm (Guest Setup) failed with error - Failed to reset password in handler: Guest Setup:Failed to reset password.Guest Setup, selectedContext=23 (CUCSD_6_5_0_0_65835)" .
All I'm looking is to assign hostname, IP for multiple NIC's & Password.

The IP should come from the network policy from a pool.
