Error when installing Exchange patches (KB836488)

Hi,

When I tried to install the Exchange roll-up patch (kb836488), an error was pop-up --

"Setup detected that this hotfix requires manual steps after installation is complete. Please refer to http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=246216 for more details"

Any problem with the Exchange 2K server? Can I fix it by following the knowledge base 246216?

This is a common situation. If you follow the steps in the KB after you apply the patch you should be fine. It is an existing problem with Exchange server 2000 but this KB is the work-around.
