Issues with CSA when installed on Unity (4.0(3)) and Unity Bridge (3.0(1))

Has anyone tried to install CSA on Unity and Unity bridges and got it working. We tried installing CSA and found that it breaks communications from the Bridge server to the Unity servers. The messages from the Bridge server get as far as the voice connector and then falls into a black hole. This then started working once CSA was uninstalled from the Unity server.

Has anyone seen this before and knows why it happens.

Which version of the CSA for Unity is installed on the Unity host? Also, which version of the CSA for Unity Bridge is installed on the Unity Bridge host? Are they managed CSAs or standalone CSAs?

I have seen similar problems involving Unity, a CSAs, and IIS, although we found that the host experiencing the problem was running the CSA for CallManager, and not the CSA for Unity on their Unity host. The CSA for CallManager does not contain the needed permissions for inetinfo.exe to queue email (including Unity Bridge networking).

The standalone agents place the policy version, and product name it is created for, in the registry.

If you are running a standalone agent on Unity, and you look in the registry at “HKLM\Software\Cisco Systems, Inc.\System Info\” is there a key named “Unity-CSA Policy”, if so what is the value of the “version” tag?

If the standalone agent for the Cisco Unity Bridge is installed on the Unity Bridge there should be a key in the Bridge’s registry at “HKLM\Software\Cisco Systems, Inc.\System Info\” named “UnityBridge-CSA Policy”. What is the value of its “version” tag?

The standalone registry tags will remain after uninstall, unless a different standalone agent has been installed since.

The version of CSA installed on the Unity host is CSA -4.0.3.728-1.1.4a.

The version of CSA installed on the Unity Bridges is csa-4.0.3.728-1.1.3a.

The CSA type is standalone.

The version tag in the registry key is sz:1.1.4a on the Unity server and 1.1.3a on the bridge server.

IS there any way of seeing what the policy contains on the standalone version ?

Those versions should work.

Unfortunately the only way to view the rules of a policy in a readable manner would be to import the .export file for the policy into a CSA Management Center.

Let's take this off of the forums until we find the problem.
