I was looking for a way to bulk delete voicemails from a mailbox and ran across this great looking tool called Bulk User Delete. It does exactly what I want. The problem is I cannot log in.
I followed all of the instructions, with one minor discrepancy on the Database Proxy Service Shutdown Time section due to my version of Unity being 10.5.1. Apparently they took that option out and all you can do is activate/deactivate, start/stop that service. No problem, so I started it.
When I attempt to log in, I get the following error:
Error returned from ODBC Driver=ERROR [HY00] [Informix][Informix ODBC
Driver][Informix]Network connection is broken.
ERROR [HY00] [Informix][Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]Network connection is broken.
It then tells me to reference a non-existent troubleshooting tips section. Yes, I have installed the Informix ODBC drivers from the above linked website.
If you can provide any help with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Troubleshooting for ODBC only connections is pretty straight forward - other tools using REST, IMAP, SOAP, SMTP and such (i.e. like COBRAS or MessageArchiver) are more involved since other protocols and rights are needed.
The most common problem I see for ODBC connection failures where the ODBC proxy service is running properly on the server is something like an AV package or a firewall blocking the port being used: 20532 in this case.
Make sure the account you're logging in as has the "Remote Administrator" roll assigned to them of course. Also, I sometimes see folks that have the user's "Web Application" password set to change at the next sign in - the ODBC proxy will not allow authentication in this case - although normally the error would be a bit different in that case, "connection broken" is not what I'd think you would see there.
Finally, I'd try another tool just to be sure - User Data Dump is relatively simple and gets used a lot - if you're getting the same login error in that case it's definitely between the app and the server somewhere: http://www.ciscounitytools.com/Applications/CxN/UserDataDump/UserDataDump.html

Thank you for your reply lindborg.
Ya know, I'm quite embarrassed! Yesterday was stressful; I was doing too many things at once; who knows. I was simply entering the wrong username. I created a new user, per instructions, and called it "phoneradmin". When I documented this account, for some reason I typed "remoteradmin" instead. When I was trying to log in, I was looking at my documentation and not the account in Unity.
I've since corrected my mistake in my documentation and was able to log in with the correct account.
SHEESH!
