I know the following question is a Cisco non supported solution. Hopefully somebody can answer me.
We setup unity failover over the wan. We are using a third party software-double taker to replicate the exchange mailstore to the other exchange server. Also the double taker will take the origianl exchange server name. So in the case the primary site(unity and exchange go down), failover unity will take over unity role, the doubletaker enabled second exchange server will take over the exchange role with same name and exchange storage.
The question I have is: Does unity need to know the exchange- server IP address, or actually through name?
Since double taker only take over the name not the IP. If it also requires IP, anybody knows it will be in the registry so I can go in to change?
