I got the image from: http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cat2900XL-4MBThe change was not going for the enterprise but the standard installation. It's just around 1MB and leaves just enough for the "web" thing if you're brave enough for that.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. The switch has flash, but only 1.5MB (actually 1.7 something). What you do mean by "source the memory" ??I need the boot image - putting that in volatile memory makes no sense?

Ok, I'm stuck again; unable to locate an image that'll fit on the current 1.5MB flash. I'm down to googling for old archives.Why is it, that when you backup image computer crashes, a couple of weeks later your "production" image fails? grrrr

Well, yeah. Once I get the thing to respond I can move forward. Problem right now is, that of all the 2900 series IOS I can find, they all require 4MB of Flash. I have 1.5 on this old one.
