I was checking some things on a 515 PIX that I have. This firewall has about 20 people that use it to VPN to our network. They use the latest Cisco VPN client.Well I ran this command to see who was on at that moment:show isa saand what I saw surprise...
Okay...what if I wanted to make this router capable of doing VPN. I would need to upgrade the IOS and get a VPN accelerator card, right??? Thanks for your help!
something else you can do is this:if you have a TFTP server, (I have one running on my PC), then you can send a text file of the configuration to the server. that text file will contain all passwords. here is the command:pixfw# wr net :/filename.txt ...
We do have a PIX to PIX VPN tunnel going, but that wasn't the IP address that was the source. So...that is what makes me nervous. But if it is something cosmetic, then I will be much calmer. Thanks for your response!
