OK, just rebooted/reset one of the affected APs, but it still has the $ sign. I've asked for confirmation that the APs are still carrying clients and will confirm when I have further info
Strange thing about these "$" signs is that they are not appended to the name. If you try to search for the APs with $, the WLC refuses to accept the $ as part of the name (not unsurprisingly), and there is a space between the AP name and the $ so it...
