You are correct. ETh1/31 is connected to C1000 gi1/0/9.Eth 1/31 of a second nexus (see vpc config in the nexus) is supposed to connect to C1000 gi1/0/10, but is not connected.A port channel should work with only one of its members connected.I did not...

As far as I know the C1000 doesn't support 10G.Furthermore the distance between switches here made us decide in collaboration with the fibreinstaller to use single mode.Thanks for your reply!
