I have a 6509 with redundant SUP720s in it. My question is how does the 6509 determine which SUP to boot to? Current it boots to the SUP in slot 6 and I'd rather it boot to the SUP in slot 5. Is the boot order determined by lowest MAC address of s...
Is there a way around the port limit for the 4510R-E and the E-Series line cards? Why even buy a 4510R-E if you can't fill the thing up with matching line cards? I'm hoping there is a work around.
Is there a show command that would show why the system restarted. Specifically if it was restarted by a user from the cli. I thought a show version used to tell you this, but I don't see it now.
I'm looking for a command that will hide the management IP address from clients. Currently with my Intel PROSet/Wireless I'm able to get the access point name and IP address that I'm connected to. I would like to turn that off if possible.
Jon,My understand of the the limit on ports isn't based on how much power the poe is using. It's based on over-subscription of ports data wise. The E-series are 2/1 where the classic cards are 8/1. Check out table 2 on this site; http://www.cisco....
Jon,Point taken on the 4500 vs 6500 cost.I guess at this point I'm really looking for a work around to power on 8 E-Series cards in an E-Series 4510. I'm really not worried about the oversubscription. Do you know if this is possibl? Thanks,Jeff
I have a 3B and a 3BXL that I would like to run in the same chassis. Has anyone verified if upgrading the RP & SP memory will allow SSO or RPR to work with these different models?
No, that appears if the power was unplugged or the system was restarted via CLI. I thought there used to be something more. Something like "system reload via system-restart command".
