Right, that works just fine for GUI access but it is not working for Console/SSH access to the FMC. It is working just fine for ssh access to the FTD. This leads me to believe that the issue is something specific to the FMC.
Thank you for this! We had to create the whole path beyond the %localappdata%\ but that resolved the issue for us as well. This was a terrible problem for a Virtual desktop cluster as it multiplied the CPU load across the entire cluster.
