I have a 4MB 2900XL. According to Cisco, this type of hardware do not support trunking (not even ISL). I'm wondering if there is any special config or bypass I can do, to place this Switch is a dot1q environement.Thanx in advance.

Try Kiwi enterprise Kat tool. It's doing real good job. you can group devices into different databases. and schedule automatique backups. It support a with range of vendors (Cisco, 3COM, HP, etc..)
