I am unclear on how to connect to an ONS from a MDS 9513 for a DWDM ISL. Are the sfp's on the MDS standard short wave sfp's or do I need a "DWDM SFP" such as: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps5455/ps6576/product_data_sheet0900aec...
I need to disable Interop Mode 1 after retiring McData switches. Can someone tell me what is the cli sequence to return the MDS 9000 series to default/native interop mode? Thanks in advance!
I need to merge two MDS9000's. One switch is new the other has all ports in VSAN 1. What will happen to the ISL ports once the fabrics merge? Do the ISL's stay in VSAN 1 or are they moved out of any VSAN. I am having a brain cramp. Thanks
I want to merge two MDS 9140's. One switch is new and has no zoning or vsan configuration. I want full zonset propagation.Do I create the equivalent vsan on the new switch before the ISL connection and then enable zone set propagation?Does the E-po...
Thanks Stephen. You echo my experiences exactly. I am familiar with CWDM but not the ONS to MDS links. I too wonder how DWDM SFP's fit into the picture.
Look for the key:HKLM\software\microsoft\currentversion\runonce\CISCOREBOOTFLAGFor some reason this key was not removed during the uninstall process. I deleted it and the VPN re-installed properly.
I am having the same problem with VPN Client 4.8. Anyone have a solution. I uninstalled "normally" got the message above then uninstalled manually per the docs on Cisco.com and I still get the message when trying to re-install.Thanks
In this case there is only one vsan so E or TE wont matter much. However, if you want to allow a TE port how do you assign the interface before the merge? Do you suggest leaving as auto?
