Is it possible to add a hostname(text) to ip access list. The host name is defined in a Mircosoft DNS server. I would like to add a dns host name to an access list so if the ip address changes I won't have to go to router configs and make Ip address...

I have seen this problem with NT4.0 clients. The problem is with Microsoft. If you you issue the release command before you move the client to another Vlan things should work fine. The problem has been fixed in 2000 and XP.

Try entering the static routes manually. I have run in to problems with the redistribute static route command working correctly
