i also get same problem on my switch and resolved by this command, but please explain reason of this behavior of switch, because if clock and time zone is set then switch should take local time for logs. why we need to add this command.
1) Yes, Laptop can ping the core switch
2) wireless network gateway is in core switch.
3)the IP assigned to WAN switch is from management vlan and all switches are accessible from that management vlan.
