I just wanted to get a sanity check on my current IOS versions just to be sure there isnt a newer version I can go to without any issues. In looking at the documentation, I believe this to be the highest version of FirePower and ASA/ASDM I can go t...
Anyone else having an issue where loading up ASDM causes it to glitch out visually? this happened after I docked my laptop and brought it up on dual monitors. I tried clearing Java cache as well as reinstalling the ASDM launcher.
I recently got an ASA 5506-X and uninstalled and installed FP 6.2.3 fresh. I also installed ASA software 9.9.2 & ASDM 7.9.2. I also updated the Rommon to 1.1.18. from the doc's I read, this should all be compatible, but the SFR now goes to Init->UP-...
Hey all, I have this weird issue and its probably just an IOS versioning thing.
I currently have "Version 15.1(2)SY6, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc4)" running on my C6509 (non E chassis) and I do not have the ability to implement dot1x on switchports.

I recently got a Virtual WLC and have it initially configured. I would like to migrate those AP's over to it. I tried settin...

Update: Upgraded to "asdm-7151-150" and it pulls all the menu's fine for firepower. And I supposed the module may reboot a couple times before it stays up? has not gone down since I posted the question.
Marvin, I do have them in a vlan, see below for the generic config on each port.
interface GigabitEthernet1/30 description THEATER switchport switchport access vlan 40 spanning-tree portfast edgeend
Good question. By default the ports will be "routed" so initially I will enter the "switchport" and "switchport mode access" commands to get them where I need them to be.
Port security is currently not enabled on the ports. And dot1x is enabled glo...
I figured it out. The "flex connect local" checkbox was the culprit. Once I disabled that. The AP used the controller as the proxy instead of itself and it used the interface settings for the ip address....everything works now and I have all AP's up ...
