I've found that when this happens, if the device is up and reachable by snmp, removing the device from the WLSE and then letting it be discovered again has always fixed the problem.

I recently had a problem with my WDS infrastructure device being reported as unreachable as well. I found that deleting it from the WLSE and finding it again through discovery solved my problem.
