I know I can do DSCP tags for QoS on packets, but is there a quick and dirty way to prioritize a (or several) VLANs over every other VLAN going through a switch port?Example:Regardless of what type of traffic is on the VLAN I want to always guarantee...
This question really has two parts to it, and I realize RSTP and EIGRP are two completely different animals.PART 1:What can I expect the average convergance time to be on an RSTP network (issuing the command: spanning-tree mode rapid-pvst on my switc...
I just loaded the web interface IOS on a C3750X. The first thing I noticed was there was basically no web interface. I can look at things, and do default configurations on ports, but it doesn't appear I can configure VLANs or QoS or anything like t...

The link you gave got truncated with ... in it so it doesn't work.I gave very limited information because what I posted is exactly what I need to do. I don't want to categorize type of traffic going across the VLAN, I don't want to rewrite anything...
Thanks Cadet Alain,So the question really is (and I plan to play around with this a bit tomorrow), during the RST reconvergence does the network become unavailable/unusable until RST kills the loop port?
Mikull,Thanks that's good to know. The only outstanding part to my question, then, is how are DSCP values in one VLAN treated in relation to other VLAN traffic? Are the DSCP values only for that VLAN? Or do they work across VLANs as in my example?
