I can't be the only one with this issue. I need to be able to disable the USB ports on our fabric interconnects, and I'm coming up empty. I have a mix of 6332-16UP FIs running 4.2(3k) in UCSM mode and 6536 FIs running firmware bundle version 4.3(5....
I have some standalone rackmounts that we added to Intersight for monitoring purposes. They are configured locally on the CIMC, so there are no server profiles involved. For licensing constraints, I have to remove these from Intersight. I'm thinki...
We have some UCSM 6332-16UP domains with 2304 IOMs that need Infrastructure fimware updates. We usually use autoinstall from Central, but this last round we had issues and ran into a bug that cannot be resolved until after our next firmware upgrades...
We have a few domains of 6536 FIs managed by Intersight. We want to move the FIs in one of our domains in the rack, which will cause a brief outage. I think that enabling fabric evacuation before shutting down an FI before moving it would be the wa...
Ok, we're taking the plunge, and setting up new X-series hardware with Intersight. I'm getting the Intersight connected appliance set up, and doing some research beforehand. I see that you need to reserve a "/20 subnet within the 172.16.0.0/12 rang...
Thanks for your reply. Yes, I already connected to the nxos commandline for the FI. Once I got to that point, I couldn't find a context that would accept those commands. We already have quite a bit of physical security on site, but you know how it...
Thanks for that explanation Sandeep, and sorry I've been slow to respond. Another random question, though, if your Intersight license expires, there's a 90-day grace period, correct? Or will the servers just stop functioning? I'm just trying to ge...
Hi Riaan, thanks for your response. That answers my question. And to answer your question, the bug was this guy here: https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCwf25608 . We were able to upgrade successfully, just during the upgrade process ...
Thanks, Wes, I appreciate the prompt response. It's not a huge problem, but it sounds like UCS will just have to treat the FI removal like an unexpected failover. I will keep an eye out for this functionality in the future.
