Nexus 1000V Advanced edition is licensed per CPU socket, and same applies for VSG.  So with 1000V license equal number of VSG licenses will be included.

Did you install VSM using the installer App or manual install? Is the VSM registered with Vcenter server ? Vcenter Plugin will show if VSM is registered.Can you please send "show svs connection" output, and logs of continuous ping from vsm to vcenter...
