I don't think there will be a problem with this. It should not matter if it is the same vlan as the ccm or not. The thing it should try to open the default gateway when it cannot connect to ccm and the phone is configure for srst in ccm device conf...

I don't think it will ring forever. I am a little rusty on this subject but I think it is the t310 timer in service -> service parameters that determines how long the phone will ring before we hang up the call.-Mckee

Yes Silence suppression does work. Sounds to me like you are not matching the correct voip dial peer when you are going out. Try doing the incoming called-number command on the dial-peer with the no vad on it.Thank you,-Mckee
